Common questions
Moving to a new phone
Install Sendi Auth on the new phone and sign in the same way as before, with your phone number or Google, then enter your master password.
Your codes download and decrypt on the new phone. Nothing needs to be scanned again.
I lost my phone
Sign in on another phone with your phone number or Google and your master password. Your codes are all there.
Then open Settings → Devices and remove the lost phone. It’s signed out and stops receiving your codes.
I forgot my master password
We can’t recover it or reset it for you. Your codes are encrypted on your phone with that password before they reach our servers, so we never see them and can’t decrypt them.
If you’re still signed in on a phone, keep using it: Sendi Auth opens with your fingerprint or face, without the password. Otherwise, delete your account below and start again, then set up two-factor authentication on each service again using its recovery codes.
A code is rejected
Codes depend on your phone’s clock. Turn on automatic date and time in your phone’s settings, then try a fresh code.
Check you’re using the code from the right environment (production, sandbox or dev) for the service you’re signing into.
The SMS code never arrives
Wait a minute and ask for a new code. Check the number includes the country code, for example +237 6XX XXX XXX.
You can also sign in with Google instead, if you created your account that way.
What we store
Your phone number or Google email, your name, the devices you’re signed in on, and your codes encrypted with your master password.
We never receive your master password or your codes in readable form.
